Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s That Time Of The Year Again!

We want to make a request to our Mommy, our Daddy, our Family, our Clients,our Instagram followers, Twitter followers, Facebook followers, our Fans, Blog Readers and everyone who wishes us well. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ahead.
Does this bring memories? It sure does.
Shout out to AIT (Africa Independent Television) and the ladies who were bent on knowing who we wanted to send our requests to.
We used to say stuff like “I want to send my request to my mommy, my daddy, my uncu, my anti, my fwends; Bolu , Kike, Chinansa and Thank God, and my class teecha, Mrs. Justina. I wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance!
There used to be some extremely shy ones, who practically froze in the face of a camera. I’m very sure they are the same savage folks throwing shades on Twitter now, the same ones that won’t allow Odunlade’s images rest on Instagram.
Back then, we’d stay up all night just to see ourselves sending our requests on tv, it was like a dream come true. We were like “Mama I made it, I’m finally famous!” We didn’t know there was something called “Life“.
What was the point of those requests anyway? The uncu’s, anti’s and a lot of other people we sent them to never received them but we derived so much joy in blabbing.
Well, that’s the beauty of childhood. We were blind to so many negativities and simply enjoyed Christmas with the last drop of energy in us. Now, we’re grown and have turned “Noel” into “No Fuel“.
We sincerely wish things were different but one great thing we have going for us is the Giving Spirit. Despite the scarcity, we still find it necessary to give out to those who don’t have generators and cars.
Christmas has always been a time to look forward to and that feeling is definitely not fading anytime soon. We can all outgrow Christmas clothes, Christmas shoes, computer wristwatches, dark creepy shades and even Christmas underwear, but we can never outgrow the feeling.
Tis the season of giving, a season of joy, love, happiness, laughter, and abundant food. Christmas is a state of mind, let’s become babes again and enjoy it with every energy we have. Let’s be happy, let love in, give out and relish every beautiful moment in this season.
Most of all, let’s celebrate the one who’s the reason for the season and give thanks to our maker for sending his beloved to save us from sin.
Finally, all those people that will like our posts on Instagram and not comment, please let it end in 2017.
